Alyssa was growing impatient. When would the train arrive? She was dying to know where she would be sorted. And was very curious. Brown eyes looking at her bag. She contemplated trying out her wand. Sighing she opened the small pouch. Pulling out the wand she let it's warmth rush through her. Taking a deep breathe she tried to think of a spell. Orchedius the pronounciation may be off. But she tried. Seeing no particularly good result she sighed picking up a nearby book. Alyssa enjoyed reading, maybe a bit too much. But nevertheless, she enjoyed it. Leaning back she began reading "The Beginner's Book to Transfiguration," the one subject she was dying to get to.
She couldn't wait until she arrived to the school. Until she was sorted into a house. And she definently couldn't wait until classes began. Excitement bubbling through her. Just wait, she would be even greater than her mother!

Cadee walked through into the plat form, she arrived early she usually did her mom just walked her over to the plat form then left. Cadee was used to it though her mother had to go into work for a meeting basically every year. Cadee was in simple muggle cloths a pair of jeans and a flannel shirt with a black tank top underneath. Cadee didn't see many people there but she did see a girl. she had her wand and cadee heard her say a spell, Cadee smiled she was the same why when she was the girls age. taking her wand and doing a spell, when she was a first year waiting for the train.
Cadee walked over to her to say hello, she was a prefect after all she should at least start talking to people more. she noticed that the girl changed to reading, it was The Beginner's Book to Transfiguration, now Cadee knew what year she was. "Hello, I'm Cadee," she smiled "it's your first year isn't it?"
Cadee ran her hand through her deep red colored hair, She was excited for her fifth year of hogwarts and to be a prefect that made her day too. well she thought it would make her fifth year.

Dustin Taylor could feel his heart pounding in his chest. Someone how he'd gotten separated from his brother and could not for the life of him find out where he was suppose to be. The first year was going into panic mode. His face pale from the thought of being left behind and no clue on how to get back home, he was scared out his wits. The brown haired boy spun in circles as tears formed in his eyes. "I'm never going to get to Hogwarts now," he moaned in distress. Looking around he dragged his heavy bag along the platform searching for anyone who could help him. He spotted two girls farther along.
Hurrying over to them he wiped the tears from his eyes and looked to the older one with round scared eyes. "Excuse me," he started, his voice quivering with nervousness. "But, has the train for Hogwarts already left?" He asked. It was a stupid question, but he worried and not thinking straight. Dustin wished that he'd not strayed off to associate with some kid with a really cool looking owl. Now look at him, he was stranded in the midst of hundreds of people he didn't know. He gave a small sniffle as he awaited an answer to his question.
He glanced to the younger girl. He hoped he hadn't interrupted their conversation. For Merlin's sake, couldn't he do one thing right? The young boy bowed his head. "Sorry for intruding."

Alyssa put down the book only to see a older girl approach. Her brown eyes widening with curiosity. Was this girl actually going up to her? Smiling she returned the girl's words with her own "Yes, I'm going to be a first year," blinking she looked at her studying the older girl. About 5th or 6th year, maybe younger if she misinterpreted.
"I'm Alyssa Matthews," she told the red-head. Brushing her wavy brown hair back. Alyssa was also in muggle clothing. A sunny white shirt and nice blue skirt. Her mother's choice of clothing. White shoes hitting the cement with a bit of impatience as she hoped to hear the train. A bit of impatience making her count the seconds ticking by.
A young boy, about her age then walked up. Blinking Alyssa watched him, he seemed scared. Feeling a pang of pity she replied in a light voice. She didn't know him yet, but he seemed anxious if the train was here or not. "No it's fine....the train still hasn't come," she told him glancing at a nearby clock.

Cadee smiled at Alyssa, then she noticed a boy with brown hair and blue eyes that was looking nervous come over. He asked if the train has left, that made cadee smile, it was kind of nice to have reminders about first year. She heard Alyssa say it hasn't come yet. That made cadee look at the clock from the time the train would arrive there any minute.
"The train should be here any minute now,"Cadee said to them both.she looked at the track to see if she could see any sign of the train yet but she couldn't.

Alyssa nodded smiling. "So what house are you in?" she asked looking up at the taller girl. She wasn't going to ask the boy what house he was in, he seemed young and about her age. So she decided to later ask him what house he wanted to be in, and hoped he wouldn't ask the same.
Being a pureblood, she was completely aware of every house and nearly all the things that occured while her mother was young and in Hogwarts. But due to the fact both her parents were in different houses, Alyssa wasn't sure which house she wanted to go to. Slytherin though, a house she wasn't looking forward to being sorted into. But the other three, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw seemed nice. Though she didn't know why she would go into Gryffindor since she barely thought about that house. Sure it sounded nice, but she couldn't picture herself being brave, and her aunt was probably the only person in her family in Gryffindor. And her aunt, last time she heard, was somewhere in Africa.

Dustin was beyond relieved to know he had not been left behind. His cheeks reddened with embarrassment at how scared he'd been only seconds before. He rubbed the back of his head and gave a small smile. "That's a relief," he breath. Of course he hadn't missed the train! All of the people that were out and about and not to mention his own brother wouldn't just board the train without him. Talk about having a slow moment.
Now that he wasn't freaking out, he took a thorough view of everything around him. Everyone dressed in their robes with their carts. He could already tell Hogwarts was going to be fun. Looking to the younger girl who'd assured him he had not been left behind and then to the older one he suspected had to be about his brother's age. He too wanted to know what house she was in. He just knew about Ravenclaw. The other three he couldn't remember.

Flashing a grin at the boy as his cheeks turned red she said "I'm Alyssa Matthews," It was nice to give out her name. And secretly she hoped she would know his now. Since Cadee and the boy were currently the only people she had spoken to so far. Since she hadn't yet boarded the bus and meet the others.
Strange, normally as a pureblood you would know alot of witches and wizards. But in her case she seemed to know more Muggles than anything else. Maybe it was because her mother was usually out leaving her to talk to the neighbors. But she didn't mind, it was better than being with her mother in those boring meetings.

Cadee looked over at Alyssa when she asked what house she was in, and she heard the boy say it was a relief that he didn't miss the train. Cadee smiled at the both of them, "I'm a fifth year Gryffindor" Cadee looked at the boy she figured it would be good at least if she would reintroduce herself. she had a job to be nice to the first years due to the fact that she ended up being one of the prefects for gryffindor. "I'm cadee ward, whats your name?" she looked over at the first year boy. He looked familiar some what but she couldn't tell how.
Cadee kept thinking back through the years remembering what it was like when she was a first year. She was nervous but so happy to get away from her father and his Alcoholic problems. yet besides she would be with her brother, she didn't have a clue where he went most likely to go looking and introducing himself to anyone and everyone. He always liked to be out there and see what was going on around him. He was much better at being social then she was, but cadee is social she just doesn't trust many people. But that issue came from her father she just doesn't understand what she did wrong there. The truth was she didn't he just couldn't stop drinking for understanding.

Dustin smiled genuinely as the girls introduces themselves. "Hi Alyssa, hi Cadee, I'm Dustin Taylor." He responded. The young boy was feeling better as his cheeks cleared up. He crossed his arms behind his head and smirked. He couldn't believe he had met a fifth year already already and he'd met someone in his own year which meant he could probably have a friend. It would be better if he found some guys his age to hang with. He didn't want to spend all his time with a bunch of girls.
Dustin turned and looked at the train tracks. "How long is the ride to Hogwarts?" He asked. It was really early, so he wanted to know how long it would take. He hadn't asked his bro before they separated. "Sorry for all the questions, I just don't know anything about Hogwarts." He gave a small smile. "I'll learn though, you can believe that."

"Well i bet that you will, i was the same way most students are that way about hogwarts wanting to know a lot about it. the ride is about five hours, because the train leaves at eleven sharp and usually don't get their until dinner. it sounds like it will take forever but trust me it goes by so quick."Cadee said to Dustin. She looked at Dustin he sort of reminded her of her brother, where exactly that he went was well a completely different story. He was a first year now, he wanted to go explore the platform, cadee wasn't going to hold him back. She did the same exact thing her first year wandering trying to see what was all around before needing to board the train.
"Anyways questions are fine, i should be able to answer most of them, but then again i am no expert on this." cadee smiled happy be of some help for the new students she would end up helping the first years that are Gryffindor she is a prefect so that must mean something right. she looked around her to see some more people where there that meant the train should really be there soon.

Alyssa nodded. That would be a long train ride. With a sigh she looked at the clock one more. Hours, it would be hours until she would be sorted. Hours of anxiety. Great, the thing she was looking forward too...Hearing a slight rattle she turned her brown gaze on a small cage a owl beating it's wings noisily. Turning her brown eyes back to them she nodded.
Dustin Taylor... the name didn't sound familiar. "I haven't heard your name before," she said honestly. Then again, it's a large world, she hasn't heard every name. But she knew most wizard names, most, not all. And still his was foreign. Maybe American... she thought shrugging.

Dustin sighed. "Five hours is a long time," he complained. At least it would give him some time to meet some new people. Yeah, that was good. The first year rocked back and forth glad to know that some nice people were at Hogwarts. He wondered where the mean ones were. Not that he was looking for trouble, never did he do that, but he wanted to avoid all future enemies and so far he was doing a good job.
Dustin looked to Alyssa as she stated that she hadn't heard his name. He didn't know whether to feel confused, hurt, or just shrug it off. Maybe it was because he was muggleborn. He felt his confidence dwindling. He desperately wanted to ask what she meant by that. Maybe it was a wizard thing. He gave a light shrug in response and leaned on his trunk.
"Hey Alyssa, what kind of pet do you have?" He asked. He'd noticed people had owls, but others had cats and rats and even toads.

Alyssa nodded in agreement. Five hours is a long time. Though it is said 'time flies' she didn't think it would. The anxiety for reaching the large castle and being sorted was too great, she couldn't wait. Though she wasn't looking forward to being messed with or running into the disdainful Slytherins, but maybe not all Slytherins were bad.
Seeing that her comment came out sounding wierd she quickly added "Um...well it's cause, since my mother she goes to lots of meetings with other wizards and witches and she likes to take me to them...And well I hear lots of names, and I was just wondering if you were...erm, American?" she said hoping that this time it didn't sound wierd.
But his question somewhat surprised her. "er...yeah, I got a Great Horned Owl..." she said gesturing to the cage on the ground. "He's not very big yet, still kinda small, but he's growing..." the family had lots of pets. But the owl was the only one she felt found enough to take to Hogwarts. Her cat was kind, but she seemed to like being around the house more than with Alyssa. "His name is Ajit..." picking up the cage she balanced it carefully and opened it. The medium sized owl coming out and rested on her shoulder as it's large golden eyes meet her brown ones and awaited her command.

When Alyssa cleared up the question for him he didn't feel so much offended anymore. "No, I'm Italian," he stated proudly. "But you wouldn't hear my name anyway, my parents aren't wizards." He gave a shrug. Dustin didn't care, he was just glad to be at Hogwarts. It was going to fun to learn all sorts of magic and learn about everything that people claimed to be fake. It would be lame not to tell them when he got home, but his parents would listen.
Dustin peered at the cage curiously trying to see the owl and was grateful for her letting the creature out because if he craned his neck any more it would probably break. "Hello Ajit," Dustin said greeting the owl. Personally he didn't look all that 'Great', to him, but Alyssa did say he was kinda small. "How long have you had him?" He wanted to pet the feathery creature but thought better of it. He glanced at Cadee. "Do you have an owl too?"
